Sara Apollonio, OD
Dr. Apollonio grew up in Athol, Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Clark University and then her Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry. She completed her residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in White River Junction, Vermont and then began her career at D’Ambrosio Eye Care in Lancaster, MA. She has been in practice for over 10 years.
Dr. Apollonio is a longtime member of the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. She is board certified through the American Board of Optometry.
She sees patients of all ages, but especially enjoys seeing children who have failed their vision screening. She is comfortable working with neurodivergent individuals. Services include annual exams for glasses and contact lenses, diabetic eye exams, postoperative management, as well as the treatment and management of ocular disease.
Dr. Apollonio lives with her husband and two daughters in Lunenburg. She enjoys cooking, reading, spending time outdoors, gardening, boating and going to the beach. She is a member of the Turkey Hill Family Lions Club.
